課程概述

本課程第一部分先建立學生職業環境流行病學研究設計完整觀念。第二部分邀請老師講授環境職業流行病學各領域研究主題實際案例。學生可了常見環境職業暴露(包含空氣汙染、水汙染、食品汙染、蟲媒傳染病、環境汙染、職業暴露)與如何以流行病學研究驗證其健康危害(包含研究設計、暴露評估、地理分布分析、群聚事件調查、計量效應關係、與因果關係建立)。
The course introduces the epidemiologic methods used to identify and estimate the health effects of environmental and occupational exposures. The first part emphasizes the principle and concept of epidemiology. The second part provides real epidemiological cases presentation. Students learn about environmental and occupational exposures (including water and air pollution, food contamination, vector-borne disease, environmental pollutants, and occupational exposures) and key methodological issues relevant for these exposures in population studies (including study design, exposure assessment and biomonitoring, disease clusters, dose-response relationships, geographic analysis, and causal inference).

At the completion of the course, students will be able to:
1. Be able to conceptualize, develop and execute innovative research and apply it to promote occupational and environmental health. (core competency 852D-A)
2. Identify information to address issues on environmental and occupational health sciences. (core competency 852M-B)
3. Apply knowledge and skills to assess, design and conduct studies related to environmental and occupational health sciences. (core competency 852M-C)

The number of questions is between 20–25; the types of questions include multiple-choice, short-answer questions, and calculation. After the exam, the course lecture will give feedback on the answers to ensure good knowledge and abilities.
